Hi - can everyone tell me how I can make Civ 1 work on my laptop which has Windows Vista ? Everytime I download it and get through the graphic/sounds/mouse options it seems to crash.

Any ideas anyone ?

The way most people play it today: DOSBox

It requires a little bit of setup but works like a charm.

Yup, DosBox... If you plan on playing anything that old you will find a new friend in DosBox.

Thanks - I've tried downloading DOSbox but get an error message that it isn't a valid Win32 application ??
Any ideas ?

You'll need to provide more details about your steps, for us to understand, because DOSBox is definitely a valid Win32 application...

It dowloads fine but when I try to run it I get the error message saying it's not a valid Win32 application
