When we had the "Polar Vortex" in January there were parts of Minnesota that were colder than the surface of Mars.
And meteorologists are saying that given current conditions and predictions, it is possible we will have another Polar Vortex this year.

the game doesnt model religion that greatly. And Reformed is a major branch of protestant anyways in the grand scheme of things. The reason being is that a sect that was protestant was protesting the practices of the clergy. The sects of Christianity that are considered Reformed are included in this regard. As is, religion does not actually play a major role in Victoria 2 beyond simply being a means to influence people to elect the party you want. Which means it can sometimes be important...but it isnt something you should focus on that much. Overall, economic policy and war policy are your full and primary concerns when choosing a party. Seeing as these have actually impact on your nation.
