can't play online

ok i have civ 4 for my pc and everytime i want to play online it said that i need to download a patch, and when i download the patch it said that it can't install it for my because some reason? can anyone help me?

I seriously think the Civ Revolution forums get more posts intended for the Civ IV forums than ones actually intended for Civ Revolution.

As per the question, if you go to civearth.com(?), you can download the patch that will let you play multiplayer online. The patch released in the game is screwed up, so you have to do it manually.
