Some kudos from IGN, looks like it made GOTM for both PS3 and 360. Enjoy!:

Why We Picked It: There's something cool about taking Abe Lincoln head to head with Napoleon, and that's exactly what this game does. You choose your leader and then begin building a society from nothing. You'll choose what kind of units to build, defend your city, and what the people study, which leads to advancements in your village such as catapults. You can enter into treaties with neighboring nations and then break them when your army is strong enough to dominate. Basically, this game scratches the itch we all have to rule with an iron fist.

I think it's great that they've added the feature and picked it as game of the month.

I find however, very troubling indeed, no mention that online multiplayer for the Ps3 hasn't been functioning properly. That's a serious lack of research, and misleading to the Ps3 future consumer. So much so, that this 360 owner sent an email to IGN about that very thing.(as well as joystiq, gamepro, and 1up). It doesn't matter what side of the console fence you sit on, the advertised features on the box should work... Especially since both versions are the same price.
Come to think of it, I'm kinda surprised that this online problem hasn't been picked up typical media gaming sites... I love the game, but some decisions or short comings of software companies and those that review them should be held accountable, and certainly not dismissed.

This is very nice, especially after Civ4 lost to Shadow of the Colossus for GotM back in 2005.
