5 Home Guards are destroyed in Palermo and the city is captured. 1 Austrian Infantry was lost in the process.

SMS Steiermark sinks an Italian Coastal Battleship west of Palermo. The remnants of the Italian squadron are heavily shelled from Palermo.

In the interests of peace, the French merchant ship sitting outside of Trieste is left intact despite repeated requests to move it.

Honestly, you should just sink it. We're at war now anyways, and the turns are so far apart and I never remember to check there.

200 turns from now, if this game is still going, that transport will be what wins the game for someone

I will be away from Civ access once again from 17.7 to 26.7 and again from 29.7 to 7.8. In the first period I will have internet access but the 2nd period will be total blackout.

If needed, you can skip me.

No offensive actions are taken, despite the gross acts committed by German troops in invading French territory while a peace treaty was trying to be worked out.

We are still committed to trying to resolve the Spain conflict peacefully. However, we would like to hear Britain's proposal as well, so that it might still be possible to find some middle ground here.

The Schuztruppen go to battle in Somalia! An artillery barrage is opened as the troops arrive outside Mogadishu. Once the smoke had cleared, it turned out that the German intelligence about the Italian position was faulty! Most of the artillery had completely missed the Italians, and ended up leveling a neighbourhood of labourers (four Horse Artillery Batteries miss). The SMS Baden and SMS Heindall are called in to shell the defenders, and the SMS Baden does some serious damage to the fortifications (Italian Colonial Infantry (3/4). The cavalry then charged the city, exploiting the damage to the fortifications, and forced the surrender of the garrison, with few losses (3 Schutztruppen Kavallerie attack Mogadishu and destroy an Italian Colonial Infantry, and two Colonial sentry brigades; 2/4, 2/3, 1/3). Mogadishu and the surrounding lands are incorporated into Deutsches Ostafrika.

No action is taken against Metropolitan France, although two cruisers were seized (destroyed) in the port of Algiers to insure the safe passage of the High Seas Fleet into the Mediterranean.

More incursions by Mexican bandits repelled. News reaches Washington that Port au Prince has fallen to New Granada forces. Nobody knows how and suspicions run high that rebels were responsible.

A great leader has been acknowledged by US Marines attacking to oust the rebels.

British Empire Turn Report

GPS to EricA and Italy!

The Mexican capital of Ciudad de Mexico has been under siege for several months from a combined Army from around the British Empire. The city is bombarded by a large force of Royal Horse Artillery Batteries before the final assault on the city. All told 8-Mexican Rifle Regiments, 1-City Garrison, and 4-Militia Regiments are bested and the city falls. Troops from around the Empire performed bravely but the Canadian Regiments saw the heaviest fighting. While doing more damage to the enemy they also suffered the most loses of any of the Empires forces. (2-Canadian Infantry lost)

Once the city was secured a search for Poncho Villa was conducted and nothing turned up, it seems like we just missed him as reports are coming in that he fled to Guadalajara.

So the joint Mexican campaign with the United States continues to quell the wild bandits of Mexico and restore order to this vast nation.

Africa

The war with Portugal in South Africa sees 5 Royal Navy Cruisers shell Diego Suarez doing very light damage (1 out of 5 hit)

The port city of Mozambique is struck by the HMS Karakatta TB it manages to sink a Transport and gain Veteran Status!

To be continued...

A quiet turn. Still rebuilding building from the big war.

Sent to Scandinavia.

This is the rest of my turn report from my last turn.

Turn Report Continued...

The British Empire is in mourning this month over the tremendous loss of life at the Battle of 'Vila Luso in Southwest Africa against the vile Portuguese. After a considerable artillery barrage Major General Hamilton ordered an all out assault on the Portuguese colonial city of Vila Luso, it was the bloodiest battle the British Empire has encountered in over a hundred years.

The brave British Colonial Infantry Regiments charged the fortifications erected by the defenders with little to no avail. The Portuguese defenders rained down cannon and gun fire on the advancing British troops the bodies kept piling up but they kept coming. Even after the horrendous loss of life Major General Hamilton ordered his reserves into the frey convinced the Vila Luso could no longer hold out! But they did with more losses taken by the defeated British forces. A halt was called and what was left of the British South African Army took up defensive positions.

After the dust cleared 6-British Colonial Infantry Regiments where decimated with the loss of only 1-Portuguese Colonial Infantry Regiment.

Prior to the attack on Vila Luso British Forces captured the coastal colonial city of Luanda with minimal losses to the Empire. The Portuguese lost 2-Colonial Infantry and 1-Colonial Sentry.

It was a sad month in the Empire and questions must be answered on how this could have happened.:(
