[MOD] Fall from Heaven II

estimated waiting time before downloading: 10 minutes,... but hey i say it`s worth waiting for it.

P.S: don`t forget to check out the new Manes ;)

EDIT: right, shameless self-promotion :) at least one person who likes my work ;)

We do need new looks for religious structures, when I look at them at the civilopedia, all of them are just jewish temples. See if one of your modellers make a great design on the religious structures, and see if you can change the looks of the people Icons to make them look like there races, Like elves for the elves citizens, undead for the undead citizens... all them people.

There is something missing in this game that other mods have... but this, that is to advance to another era... like medieval to renaissance. When will we be able to see the advancements of eras in this game?

I got another question, is there a hell version of the tundra terrain for the hyborain? Will the Fur source be transform into a different creature and affect?

*Blinks*

They are?

*Looks at the game* 'okay... There's an OO temple... And there's a leaves one... Oh and there a Runes temple...

*Stratches his head* I don't know, boss, they all look different to me.

Ci.. Citizens? You mean the specialists? Can you change the icons from civ/race to civ/race?

What purpose will this serve? In other mods and in plain old Vanilla, the -only- effect era advancement has is a cosmetic change to your cities. In FfH this effect is (rather excellently if I may say so) tied to your state religion. Also... Who is to say there are distinct "Era's" in terms of tecnological advancment in the world of FfH? Really... In my mind era advancment in this mod would just be a waste of coding lines.

Look at the model looks at the temples, not the icon that you see when you build them. All of them look like they are jewish temples in the civilopedia.

Citizens and Specialist, I want there looks to look different, like if your playing the orcs, that sage should look like an orc sage. If your playing as an elf race, i want the sage to look like a elf sage. Make them look different so that we have them look different then the same human sage.

There is no purpose, however I like to see the cities evolve better, both non-religion and religion looks. When you research some technology, we do need a change of architecture looks, so therefore I like to see some looks and evolvement on the cities, instead of seeing the same architecture the whole game. For example, I'm playing as the calabin Civ and also gotten the Ashen Viel Religion, After researching technologies that are near end (as in I cannot research no more but future lore), My cities have a change on looks, to make them more look evil-ish and future-ish of fantasy (no flying ships unless they are goblins zeppelins.).

Honestly, compared to adding stuff that actually impacts how the mod plays, and ensuring that it runs smoothly and game balance is OK, etc, that all seems like highly peripheral and very low priority stuff, IMHO.

Completely agree. I can't imagine there are too many people playing this mod who are concerned with stuff like that.

'okay... So it's a mere Civilopedia issue. The entry for the mana node shows only the base model for it. So what? Issues with the pedia can be sorted out when the gameplay elements are sorted out. ie. Not important.

Once again... A -very- minor cosmetic thing. And I mean very very minor. Also, I don;t think doing that is actually possible. No matter what civ you play the -interface- looks the same. And what you are talking about is an interface cosmetic change.

Ah... I see what you mean here... You want it to change from fantasy to... Later fantasy?

Hold on...

Wait for it...

WHAT?!?!

So what you want is for a castle to change and look like... A castle? Almost -all- fantasy world arcitecture is defined by a Medieval/Gothic look. Please point me out where Medieval becomes later Medieval. It's bloody Medieval, guvner, it don't change.

My Great Prophets have the buttons for all the religious wonders except the song of autumn. Is it intended ?

I play with Keelyn

Yeah, song of the autumn is build with a great artist. And the Veil wonder requires a great scientist, so you can't build that either with a great prophet.

Thanks you for the quick answser

Now that I'm reassured, I can go back to the game ;)

Hello,

I have two very minor issues; but I would like to preface with the obligatory though wholly sincere "I LOVE THIS MOD!"!

Issue 1 - Playing as the Amurites (only check this problem on them) my adepts are showing up a red bubbles - minor.

Issue 2 - the white flag fix that has been around for ages does not work on this new build - in fact when I try to apply it the .16 version of FFH2 somehow shows up in my MOD directory despite having deleted it. Again minor, but am a little concerned about the uninvited .16 showing up (since we should have deleted all old versions for this one to run smoothly)

Thanks,
Seamus

Thanks for the great Mod. Really fun to play, liked the fact that units really stick around all the time. Also the hidden nationality makes things very fun. Wondering though when or if this will be upgraded to Warlords.

@Pintadvs:
For #2, look in your mods directory. The fix probably is installed in mods\Fall from Heaven 2016\ - so you can fix the problem by moving it to the right dir \mods\Fall from Heaven 2021\.

@Hexed:
There will be no Warlords version (Kael stated a few times in this huge thread already), because not everyone has it, the advantage is minor and (I think) because of the necessary big changes to the code.

I have another thing that seems weird to me :

In my game, Arturus Thorne discovered the runes for quite a long time now, but the advisor shows he doesn'have the way of the earthmoter, therefore i cannot trade it with him.

did I miss something or is it a bug ?
