OCC: Just to recap. The Imperial Party has 7 members now, and basically all of us support Lighthearter, including him. The Conservative Monarchists have declared support for Lighthearter. Red Star has yet to declare support of anyone as have the Worship the leader party. WTL Party is also internally divided as METY has yet to appear in public since forming the party, prompting WestIndiaMan to declare if METY does not appear by the end of this Turn-set, he becomes Party Leader. The Fisherman's Alliance is also neutral on backing, but unlike RedStar and WTL, has made immense (i.e. the only one) progress in gaining the support of the fishermen. The SyNDieZ party known as the Democratic Party is leaderless, but has been gaining support behind the scenes. The Current Backing (if you include parties as well) stands as Lighthearter having a grand total of 113 out of 199 (56.8%) PC. Everyone else: 0 backing. |

Although I have little doubt the Fire King will accept Tambien into the Imperial Party, I regret to say that you do not have the power to accept him since you are not the leader of the Imperial Party. This is not meant to rebuke you, only to let you know that under the rules of realpolitik games, the leader of a party is the only one that can 'accept' or 'kick out' a member of the party.

The Fire King accepts Tambien's application and puts his full trust in each of his subordinate ministers in their areas. Let their words be treated as law!

The boy ran. Left. Right. Up. He climbed the crude ladder next to the wooden house that looked like it would collapse any day. Options. Straight. He ran as fast as he could. He jumped across a gap between two houses, then kept running. He was almost out of breath now.
Within a couple of minutes or doing to same thing, jumping gaps and running on the rooftops, he emerged into a slightly nicer looking area of the small city called Persepolis - that is, the houses looked sturdy enough that a glancing hit wouldn't send them to the ground. He then leaped down from his vantage point, and landed in an alleyway. But that didn't mean much as there were only a handful of streets wider than a couple feet across. Most were alleys. The boy walked down the alley, encountering nobody until he reached a door. He knocked. A slot above his head opened and he could see a pair of eyes glaring down at him. He quickly spoke. "The Hairy Rabbit Jumped." He then ran away a different way than he came with a handful of coins thrust out through the slot, and the eyes disappeared as the slot closed. The man with the eyes descended stairs not too far from the door into a rare basement since they were so hard to build dependably. He used a huge set of keys to unlock multiple locks and proceeded down a tunnel. Left. Right. Left. Left again. Straight. Down some stairs. Right. Straight. Up some stairs. At last he reached a door which he opened and shouted into the room it opened up into before heading back the way he came. "The Slow Cheetah ate the Lion Cub!" Another man came up with the message from the room and hurried up several flights of crude stairs, although they looked expensive and sturdy for the time period, and finally entered a room with a simple desk and a man behind it dressed in elegant but combat capable clothes - or to say, more than the rags that most of the city's population wore. The building he was housed in was a relatively large one for its time, located within the fenced and walled center of the city where only the powerful, influential, rich, or otherwise important individuals could manage to secure a home and/or offices. The desk faced away from the window, giving a view of the city as they were on the third floor, one of the only third floors there were in the city. The man in the room was seated at the desk, but was facing the window, observing the city as the sun set, giving it an orange glow in the moments before darkness. "Sir. The falcon nest has dug a grave." The messenger said to the man at the desk. Unlike the others, he did not hurry away immediately. "Ah, thank you Timmons. Please inform the Fire King's messengers as well. And plant the other Eagles if you will." Arya replied, turning to face the man. But due to the sunset, all the man named Timmons could see was the faint shadow of a scar along the right side of his face, starting just above his eye and continuing past the corner of his mouth. It was white and aging, but the rest of the face and his body was in its prime, or at least only slightly past it. Timmons turned to leave. As the door swung shut behind him, the sun dipped behind Mount Alamut leaving the room in darkness with only a tinge of orange light left, fading quickly.

As The Messenger left, A man in military regalia entered the the room. He bore many scars from countless battles defending his people before they came together with the other Persians to form the Empire, and had aged many years beyond his true age. His Azure eyes hid a cool, calculated mind.
The man spoke. "Lord Arya,Minister of Peace, Harmony and Tranquility,. i presume from what i heard, things proceed nicely. The tiger is hunting its prey." Arya smiled. "Lord Daedwartin, Minister for Defense of the Realm Against the Many Enemies, welcome. This is pleasing news. I presume the Fire King has been informed. Daedwartin replied in a calm reserved voice, "yes he has been, Lord Arya. it would be treason to not, and i am well aware on your view of traitors. I am grateful days of our clans being enemies is over. Your Clan's greatest Strength has always been your ability to find traitors among it and influence other clans with the information you gathered as master spies. The Daedwartin clan have always been the most brilliant tacticians and strategists, but we were not as numerous as His' Majesty's Clan nor as good diplomats as the Tycho Clan. The Dumanios Clan was always neutral in our conflict, but i except them to have for they are by far the oldest clan and have become wise over the centuries. My clan was always on its own. The Christos clan had better luck then me at diplomacy. We are so good at war because we had to take everything we have. I do not know what would have happened had The Fire King not been willing to mend broken brigades." Arya thought on this. "So that is why you supported The Fire King, to repay your debt. Just as i am repaying my debt for having called on His Majesty's Clan for aid, as is Lord Tycho's." Daedwartin, " and as Tambien is repaying his debt for being saved from being saved from near destruction at the hands of barbarians. Life on the frontier is always hard. Also, i guess i can say this. The chimpanze has learned. The Troop gathered. I bid thee fair-well, Lord Arya." Daedwartin sees as he leaves a former enemy, a stead fast friend, the sunset, setting on the ever majestic Mount Alamunt. Certainly, Persia must be blessed by the gods to live in such a pleasant place. Things had been much harder one, at least for his clan. His clan had been pushed from its territory countless times before he took charge. He turned it into the martial clan it was known for today. perhaps this came from his mysterious inability to die. He himself had killed Christos personally several Times. He knew that his most recent death wasn't his final, and neither would it be his last likely. "such is the fate of us immortals. we are doomed to forever walk this earth. not even death may free us." |

As Daedwartin exited the building, he came face-to-face with the Herald of Dumanios. Daedwartin had not met Dumanios once, at least, not in his current body.
"Lord Daedwartin, Lord Dumanios wishes to meet you in the city square." "Then bring me to him." "As you wish." The Herald led Daedwartin to the city square, relying on Daedwartin's superior night vision to guide him. When they reached the city square, they noticed a multitude of torches having been lit along the perimeter, while in the center was a man who meditated, wearing gray robes and a hood that concealed his face. Daedwartin felt the air around him get cold. The figure stood, revealing his face. His eyes were just as gray as his robes, and his hair was white. It hadn't changed a bit since Daedwartin had last seen him. "Ah, Lord Daedwartin, Minister for Defense of the Realm Against the Many Enemies... it's been what, two regenerations since you've last met me?" "Yes, and you haven't regenerated at all." "Neutrality does have its benefits. Heh, Lord Minister for Advancement of the People's Glorious Empire, that is a title I will hold dear." "I suspect you called me for a reason?" "Yes... I've have seen empires rise and fall, I've seen entire races go extinct, I've fought alongside gods, and have fought against wrath himself. The republicans will not let up, and once Christos regenerates, he'll simply unite the republicans under his rule. In the end, there is no difference between tyranny and democracy. The latter is simply a tyranny of the majority." "You've seen everything, haven't you?" "Even among immortals, I am elderly, yet I still live in order to experiance life anew, and seek wehat I haven't done." He paused, before summoning a large icicle, and tossing it behind Daedwartin. The warrior turned and saw someone on the ground, impaled with an icicle, and in his hand was a blade, made of an ancient material "An iron blade... where could he have gotten such a thing?" The herald pilfered through the man's pockets, and found a a piece of parchment. Upon it was written destroy the lion and the sage. "We must bring this meeting to an end. Our enemies are about. Be on your highest guard, Daedwartin. Come, herald, we must depart."

Be on your guard people, there may soon be internal strife and conflict among us all. As good and loyal citizens of Persia, we have a duty to protect and keep the peace in Persia, no matter the price. There will undoubtedly be suffering and agony amongst the people and amongst ourselves, but we must bear the banner of our nation and keep strong, no matter what happens.
Be prepared, my friends. -Tycho-

Supreme Fire King Lighthearter of Persia, I would like to say that I will pursue a course of peace with all of our neighbors that we should encounter and have dealings with so far.

Arya decrees that one warrior shall stay at the capital and defend it and the surrounding lands against any threats, foreign and domestic. The second warrior shall explore to the south in the direction that our enemies, the vile Portugese, came from in order to plan out the terrain for any future conflict. The scout shall continue northwards along any coast it may find, occasionally venturing inland if it sees an opportunity to discover human life (goodie huts) or to discover valuable resources.
