Me too, Monarch is hard, and my trial game didn't go well (got dominated), so I figure that I need to try and use the absence of the metals to my advantage.

did anyone considered omit the barbarians completely and just kill all the AI? Do you think it might be worth of trying?
Also I quite like the idea of moving settlers close to barb city and flip it and gain whatever there is to gain..if we one can keep them of pillaging and taking your cities. |
