Greece sounds like Rome should've. Grandiose, yet serene, a rather pleasant representation of an ancient and respected civilization.

Polynesia's is not bad, but I do feel like the typical Hawaiian tune clashes a bit with a game like Civilization. I also feel like it ends a tad too early, as if we could hear something grander if only the song was a couple of minutes longer.

Netherlands: This is not just a peace theme. This, gentlemen, is a musical about William of Orange's daily routines.

He wakes up in th emorning and does a morning stretch, he looks out the window and hears the birds chirp happily. He gets dressed and grabs his trusty book. With one mighty shove, he opens the door to reveal a Dutch city bustling with activity.

He comically struts down the streets with the happiest of smiles plastered on his face, greeting everyone he passes by and waves. He even hums the theme happily as he almost bounces during his walk. Today is a prosperous day, today is the turn he finally grasp the concept of Economics and his empire's mass polders will bring in so much wealth.

He enters his office and does a swift twirl as he takes off his cape. He takes a glance at the mirror to make sure his beard is well trimmed so he can look proper when eventual visitors come. He opens his large book and flips through some pages, most likely the ecenomics statistics.

As the day goes on and the music nears its end, it becomes dusky outside and William looks out of his window. He can feel a fresh scent of oranges in the air as he inhales deeply.

It is good to be the Dutch!

Japan: I can't really feel anything. Feels bland and slow...

Spain's tune is really soothing, and it is played with the proper instruments. Good stuff, feels genuine.

It's getting harder and harder to find someone to downvote (I do like the Iroquois theme, you know). However, I do feel like the only thing I like in Germany's theme is the source.

Theodora's theme is one of my three favorites in the whole game. Yes, it sounds a little like a war theme because of the opening, but really it's majestuous and grandiose, I can picture the Hagia Sophia listening to it.

Poor Ahmad got stuck with the worst theme in the game, even worst than Askia. No idea how he didn't get ejected first here. I get that they're trying to use local instruments, but that shouldn't stop the song from being listenable (see : Sweden's peace theme). As is, it makes me hate Ahmad each time I open up a diplo screen with him.

Not a big fan of Egypt's theme. It's only fair, as it's not really better than the few songs I've been downvoting so far (the Iroquois theme is better than these, I think).

The Dutch theme is just very, very good. I'm not that knowledgeable of Holland, but this theme fits with everything I imagine about it.

Portugal - I'm in love with the guitar fills.

Siam - For me, this little tune will forever and always be associated with being denounced. And insulted. And if I'm lucky, one right after the other. For a more musical reason, while, yes, it is a "peace theme," I generally prefer my peace themes to be a little more exciting. Instead of telling me to build an epic empire, Siam's peace theme is telling me to enjoy a relaxing afternoon baking cupcakes for my Mongolian/Hunnic/Aztec overlords.

Byzantium : One of my favorite peace themes, I have to bring it at parity at least. Granted the opening sounds more like a war theme than a peace theme, but Theodora's like that, deadl with it. Again, it really conveys the majestuosity (not sure that's a word in ENglish but oh well) of Constantinople to me.

Songhai : Very boring, the dissonant voices just sound awful and still aren't enough to make this distinctive in any way. For someone who has one of the most impressive leaderscreens, Askia sure has a lame peace theme.

Austria's Peace theme is...different, in a good way. Not exactly evocative of a civilization, but only of the finesse, class and culture of its upper class.

None of the remaining themes are bad, though I do feel like Brazil's theme was handled badly. For that, my downvote now goes to it.
