Capto Iugulum

From Brandenburg
To The Empire of Scandinavia

We have no idea why you would consider that we "implied" that we supported the murder of your foreign nationals. Perhaps if there wasn't a Scandinavian King and a Scandinavian stranglehold over Pomerania, then there wouldn't be murders of your nationals. It seems there's no murders of British or Brandenburg or Sicilian citizens, so that very well could be a step in the right direction for you

I, the duc de Vizelle, minister for Foreign Affairs for the Confederation, solemnly pronounce that the most noble government of the Confederation does not give a damn about such a plebeian sport as balompie or such a useless continent as Antarctica. These diplomatic controversies are silly and it does not behoove our government to discuss them. Our explorers and balompistes, or whatever they're called, are absolutely free to do whatever they like just as long as they don't worry me about it.

Because, however, we actually have some important business to transact, I would like to thank Japan for reassuring us, and we will withdraw our troops a safe distance from the border; and moreover, I would like to denounce Brandenburg's gratuitously hostile rhetoric towards our ally Scandinavia.

To: Brazil, United Kingdom
From: Empire of Spain

We are glad that you are willing to, if not renounce to your claims in Antarctica, to allow researchers access to the White Continent. Hopefully, you will not put politics in the way of science.

To Poland, Hungary
From Russia
Re: Georgia

We must echo our allies disquiet at your arrangement with Georgia. We fail so see how this "defensive alliance" is anything other than a flagrant intrusion into League spheres. Our nation has never shown any hostility towards Georgia and the Roman Empire has done nothing to infringe upon Georgian independence since they broke away

To Brandenburg

Re: Pomerania

Watch the tone you take when discussing the horrendous murders of our allies citizens

To: Scandinavia
From: Austria

We would like to announce our sorrow at hearing about your nationals being killed. You have the guarantee of Austrian support in however you wish to handle the situation.

From Brandenburg
To Russia

Last time we checked, Georgia is a free and sovereign state that is free to enter alliances with other free and sovereign states which, last time we checked, that status applies to Hungary and Poland. It seems you and your League are trying to only to ensure a potential conquest of Georgia is easy, or perhaps a scheme to create a grander war. Any nation has the right to sign alliances, especially when their neighbors are aligned with one another.

To: Whom it may concern
From: Hungary

We do understand your discontent, but that does not change the fact that Georgia came to us. If we truly wanted to stick our noses in the Caucasus we would have come to them. We do not wish war with Russia, Rome or anyone else, and we hope that you can lay down your displeasure.

To: Brandenburg
From: Hungary

We thank you for your support. We will send a Balompie team to Berlin.

@erez87: Well, I assumed with the surplus funds, students from other nations could be afforded. It seemed a natural extension of the process. As for the start up fund, that's just the way it goes sometimes. Occasionally businesses will start, and then they fail. It's not any fault of the policy, just the way the economy works sometimes. Though, admittedly it's more complicated, but that's the short answer.

@Grandkhan: For some reason your Manliest post made me think of monster truck rally commericals. MONDAY MONDAY MONDAY!

To: Spain
From: Sicily

If that is your opinion, then there is no more to be said until tens of thousands of Spanish soldiers lay dying on the beaches of our island.

To: Roman Empire
From: Turkey

Our new sultan will be pleased to visit his close friends and partners in Constantinople, and hopes for thriving relations between our government and yours.

To: Naples
From: Pope Leo XIV

While automotives are clearly a tool for labor, we find the racing of these vehicles the labor of fools. We will have no support for the sport, as it places spectators in harms way from these speeding death traps.

Yes, I agree it is a good natural extension, but the real scientists and researchers come first :p that's where my giant education funding goes into, their research.

To: Pomerania
From: The Roman Empire

We are glad to see you are willing to work closely with officials from the Empire of Scandinavia to hunt down and bring to justice those in your nation who would harm foreigners.

To: Hungary
From: The Roman Empire

Again, we say, stay out of the League's sphere. We do not care that Georgia came to you, but it raises questions within the region behind the reason of Georgia trying to establish a defensive pact with Rome and Russia's neighbors. We have no desire to wage war with any of your countries and are offended that the both of you would raise tensions in the area by forming an unnecessary and blatantly aggressive alliance.

To: Brandenburg
From: The Roman Empire

Stay out of affairs that do not concern you. Your input is not needed nor welcome in the affair regarding the Polish-Hungarian-Georgian alliance.

To: Chile
From: Republic of Argentina

We hope that Chile is willing to embrace some form constitutional democracy in the future, even as that hope dims once more.

To: The United States of New Spain
From: Republic of Argentina

Argentine drivers are more than willing to participate in your MANLY autorace.

To: World
From: Republic of Argentina

The Republic of Argentina affirms our claims on the Antarctic continent. Like the United Kingdom and Brazil, we will allow researches regardless of nationality access to our holdings, with the caveat that they do so legally with permission and knowledge of our government. We will establish already planned laboratories and outposts on the continent before the year is out.

OOC:

To: Alliance of Poland, Hungary, Georgia, etc.

Your alliance needs a cool name if it's going to survive :p

To: Roman Empire
From: Hungary

How can you be certain we have aggressive intentions? You cannot. We don't have aggressive intent pf any sort. Hungary can assure you, our side does not want conflict. Georgia has every right to have an alliance with us. And Brandenberg has every right to state his opinion regarding the matter. Hungary hopes a peaceful solution can be found.

OOC: To: Argentina

AA is far better at making names than I am, I'll leave that to him :p

To: Roman Empire, Russia, Scandinavia
From: Georgia

We are a sovereign nation and have a right to ally to any other nation or nations of our choice. We see no reason for you to meddle in our own political affairs.

OOC: The Polish-Hungary-Georgian alliance name should be "The Hungary Polish-dog eating Georgians".

To: Brandenburg

The Treaty of Stettin regards any dispute between Pommerania and Scandinavia, or their citizens, as a matter between those two nations exclusively, and your divisive, inflammatory input is neither needed nor desired. We assure you, a peaceable, fair solution shall be reached through the most peaceful means possible.

From Brandenburg
To Empire of Scandinavia

Ah yes, because the people of Pomerania didn't really want to kill Scandinavian nationals for forcing them to kneel to Stockholm, they were really using the killings to angle for a peaceable fair solution, in which our experience with you entails the complete dismantling of nations that are centuries old for no valid reasons except for an obvious land grab (For more information about this topic, try finding the independent Kingdom of Prussia). Good luck with your negotiations, and I'm sure Pomerania will be more than happy with a settlement that falls short of removing them from complete Scandinavian political and economic domination, and that all politically related killings will cease immediately

To: Brandenburg
From: The Republic of The Netherlands

We do not approve of your efforts to destabilize the entire region.

From: Empire of Scandinavia
To: Brandenburg

If it was your intention to cause an international incident, you have become very successful. We will be censuring your ambassadors until such a time that they learn to pick through some kind of summary message from your government's ramblings. We advise other nations to do the same. We will not tolerate any attempt by Brandenburg to destabilize the region.

From: Empire of Scandinavia
To: Pommerania

We would appreciate contact in private channels in regards to how best we can be of use. Scandinavia will defer to Pommerania's own law enforcement officials in the matter of how best to pursue and punish these renegades, whenever and wherever possible.
