Master of Mana - Download

I am so much hoping that the website being dead, does NOT mean that the mod is dead.

So much loving master of mana, I wish someone from the modding team would give some info on the matter.
 
Fixed the broken MoM site link (as it was going to a dodgy squatter casino page) in the OP, added the sourceforge page link, and also pinned the Xtended edition thread in this forum area since it appears to be the main most played continuation of MoM (although I see there's a tweaked version too, are most people playing that now?). Let me know if that assumption is incorrect and if you guys need any other threads pinned or spring cleaning around here. :)

Couldn't fix the picture link in the OP as there's no web archive backup of it sadly. I was tempted to change the wording in the OP to lessen confusion, since it talks of everything moving to a new forum that's long gone now.. but @Sephi is still around so maybe he can take a look at his old post and update it a bit.

EDIT: Oh and do you guys want this forum section renamed from Wildmana to Master of Mana? I've added 'Master of Mana' into some of the key pinned thread names to help newcomers, but I can ask the admins to fix the main forum name if you wish. Not to mention the forum description which just says "Forum for Wild Mana modmod for FFH 2".

We will build a shrine for Esvath somewhere else.

Changing forum names and possibly URLs seems a bit much this late into the mod lifecycle. I always type "wildmana" into the browser to quickly find this forum.

This casino page is really annoying lol. They registered my domain and then wanted like 50 dollars for it. I refused on principle and later they wanted something ridiculous like 1k dollars or so.

No worries mate. Yeah those website squatters are the worst! We usually try to protect our members from ending up on sites like that so the internet archive copy link is a good/safe replacement, as least now people can see a 'snapshot' of your original site and some of the cool info there.

I notice there's a ModDB Master of Mana page too but I didn't add it to your post as I saw its unofficial so I'm guessing it's not under anyone's control here. Useful backup though. I've put many a lost mod onto ModDB myself for preservation purposes.

No worries, have unpinned the xtended thread and pinned the tweak xtended instead. Well we could rename it to 'Master of Mana (Wildmana) Modmod'.. that would retain both. But if you'd rather keep it as it, then no worries. Although we could still update the forum section description though from...

"Development forum for Wildmana, its follow-up Master of Mana, and MoM xtended Modmods for FFH 2."

well, master of mana is not a follow-up to Wildmana.

wildmana was like FFH + improved AI +QoL changes like Autocasting. Kael merged the improved wildmana AI into FFH in one of the last FFH patches which made the modmod obsolete for many players. But some still wanted to play it so I kept the downloads on sourceforge.

masterofmana is a total conversion mod for civ, where you have civ + new magic system (master of magic style) + new economy system (global yields like metal and wood and new research currencies arcane + faith) + FFH civs (lore+mechanics).

If you want to rename the forum for new users I think it makes the most sense to rename the forum to "Master of Mana Xtended" and the description to "Development forum for Civ4 Master of Mana Xtended modpack" or something like that. Since nearly 10 years only Xtended is still developed.
 
Ahh I didn't realise Wildmana was incorporated in the last versions of FFH2, that really does make it rather obsolete and better to rename this area to help newcomers. I knew Master of Mana was not FFH dependent as I have Xtended installed on my copy of Civ4, but just didn't know the story of Wildmana so that's helpful! Cheers for the better description, I took one that was suggested a few days ago for another FFH momod area here and tried morphing it for here but without the required knowledge of the history of this area so cheers, I'll take yours. Might still mention that this used to be the Wildmana area to help reduce confusion but will talk to the admins soon and get the suggested changes made.
