If you use clean energy to remove the unhealth from your fracking, do you also lose the +10% hammers as the building gets switched off?
 
Hmm, I don't think so. I suspect one could test this pretty easily in worldbuilder though.
 
Played on, confirm that a 'retired' Shale Plant continues to contribute 10%, and +4 hammers if you roll the Coal Plant/Drydock event. And, of course, keep electrified a National Park. That is a damn good UB :)
 
Yes, the lack of coal requirement has intrigued me. I might have to fire up a game as Japan now. There are worse fates I guess ;) Samurai are a very fun unit.
 
Selling/disconnecting oil is often the better option. Removing access to coal from your Ironworks city is quite a big hit.
