failed to install 1.74 patch during BTS install

im having a problem installing Beyond the sword i prevously had civ 4 and warlords installed and tryied to install BTS and i get a message saying the the new patch that comes with it failed to install i have tried several times to see if it happened again. i then uninstalled everything and reinstalled vanillia civ 4 and tried to install BTS afterward and i still have the same problem is there any solutions to this problem found yet?? i am going to download patch 1.74 and install it manually to see if it solves the problem but idk if that will work... does anyone have any ideas
