So, about a year ago I head 30$ of spare money and bought this cool "Civilization V" game. Now, after playing a ton of what vanilla had to offer, I came to look for mods and discovered I've been missing on a huge part of the game by not having the DLCs. I looked at the options for buying them and realized I've probably screwed stuff up.
Buying Civ V vanilla and one of the major expansions separately (without sale) costs 10$ more than buying Civ V vanilla and ALL the DLCs, major and minor, through the Complete Edition. If I were to buy the Complete Edition while I already have the base game, is it a waste of a Civ V vanilla game code or is it usable for trade/gifting to a friend later?
Thank you for trying to understand my situation!
