Things I learned about the science of warfare through Civilization IV

244) A great person can create anything great or discover something and will die at the shock of having dome something that great.
245) If you kill both Moses and Shakespeare then your people will be extra happy and will give you extra money and production for some years (eh! so we are better off slitting their throats)
246) Your citizens never have any kids... they just automatically become adults ready to work
247) Or they have never heard of child labour.

248) You cannot see big 6 foot horses until you know how to use them (something like an invisible utility tool)
249) You can set up a city in midst of these and even when they become visible your citizens do not mind the neighing, leaping dung-producing things all over the place.

@Harry Potter52:

Would you mind not making 5 posts in a row? You can think of some stuff and post them all in one post and edit it if you make mistakes.

#250 You can settle cities in the midst of a desert but you can't force your people to settle down in a nice oasis.

#251 The leader of a civ is always the last person of an empire to die. But when he dies, everything his people created, songs, books, pictures, all is gone (or forgotten) instantly.

252) (game specific) It can take hundreds of years for early humans to build one granary, or train a couple of citizens in the use of clubs, but modern tanks and advanced airports take only a couple. This is because of the advanced tools used in the 20th and 21st century.

Don't think I saw this one yet...

254. Contradicting espionage's actual function, all leaders tell each other EXACTY how much spying they are doing on each other.

255) Propeller-driven fighters can intercept, damage, and shoot down jet-powered fighters that cant travel nearly twice as fast as them.

233) Medicine for soldiers out in the field was as good 6000 years ago as it is today.

You mean Field medicine

256) The red cross does not make your citizens healthier but instead just teaches military soldiers how to perform field medicine techniques that work the same as they have for 6000 years.

257) If your city has a national epic in it then you will be inspired to do something great like get your throat slit to start a golden age.

258) You can't build a university unless you have a library.

I think that's plenty absurd all by itself.

259) Cuirasser vs (Barb) Warrior, Warrior gets shot in the head. He stands there and blinks for a couple of seconds... then, goes flying backwards, like Yodah unleashed the force on him. Makes total sense, right???

260) There are no diffenrence between religions on how they effect sociaty!

261) Helicopters are not allowed in a city. The buildings are built too close together to allow the rotars to spin. They can however kill any unit hiding in a city. This tactic is useful because it allows you to wait for the citizens to get angry about not being protected by the thing that can't get into the city to hurt them anyway.

262) EVERYONE loves silk shirts.

263)horses turn into helicopters if you rub enough gold against them

264) Gold is useful in the production of everything if it's near by.

265) pillaging someone's farm instantly causes a small deposit to be made into the bank account of the country who commands the military unit. This is because all farmers bury gold in thier basements.

266) The British redcoats were the only military unit to ever utilize the bayonet.

267) discovering gunpowder and being able to fire a high speed projectile at your enemy gives you no advantage what so ever if your enemy is holding a melee weapon. The bullets just bounce off the sword or axe like blaster fire does off of a light sabre.

268) a great general will die if given the task of building a military training center. They can lead a unit forever, but if asked to slap bricks and mortar together, they will instantly pass away upon completion of the task.

269) The Leaders of a nation choose what their cities build even in a capitalist society. Those Factories in China? Built by Qin shi Huang not some Corporation.

270)Executives are like missionaries, they say something random and your citizens totally want to join that Corporation even though it crushes their economy

271) When a "Patch" comes out it insantly balances aspects of military in order to fix problems. Fortunatly for America none of these have been released for a while.
