i was playing some spanish game and only one out of the seven games i locate near a natural wonder. i decided to play some pacal OCC before BNW release and all 3 games i played are 10 tiles apart from a wonder.

What map type are you playing? The Earth map is kind of buggy in terms of resources and natural wonders. If you're playing another map, then it's just unlucky.
