I noticed it a few days ago and I was pretty surprised myself.

Although I think it was to be expected because of the amount of new people surfing around here and new registrations.

The six days following Civ4's release, we had over 300 new registrations each day. October 27 had the most, with 472 new registrations.

Since then the daily new registrations has dropped to around 150 to 200 a day.

It's probbably Korean or Japanese, possible Tiwanese. The love the MMOs in Asia
To give you some perspective on that, Ragnorok Online(worlds most popular MMO) cliams over 17 million subscribers, and World of Warcraft(most popular in the US) only has about 4 million. Ultima Online the first MMO, only has around 250,000 left. My guess, is that this forum is for some kind of online game.
