Wouldn't it be better to have that as an Array, rather than 'FreeBonus1-5'?
If you use a dynamic array, how do you decide which bonus is from palace normal and which only with gameoption ;)

tried ModDB but got an error. Don't want to fill out that form again at the moment.

I split it up and upload it to a different site as a temporary solution.

Ah, true. Would make it a pain to use a gameoption.

Although you could use a second building for each palace granting the new manas. Place it just after the palace in the xml, put a TAB command in the name, and it'll be indented under the palace in the city screen.

Yeah, ModDB is a pain to set up initially. Worth it in the end, though.

@Valkrionn didn't know about the TAB command. Still I don't want to add elements just for a very minor effect. There are so many loops over all buildings (for example cannotbuild python callback) that any new building needs a good reason ;)
 
Filefront back up, although it sounds like you need to re-upload? I'll wait for a post to hear when to D/L from Filefront.

Stuck game? Playing as Mazatl, game won't progress past "Waiting for other Civilizations" bit.

Playing as Mazatl, I'm able to build Gilden Silveric (elven hero) once I research Archery.

Also, how do you automate Ranged Combat? I can see the option to manually attack from range, and I do so, but do not see an icon to automate this each turn.
 
First impressions so far:
-Sometimes the engine puts focus on workers that can't move anymore (maybe Mazatl only? / maybe related to their terraforming spells?)
-Mana guardians with ranged attacks (Frostling Archer) seem to leave their mana-tile. At least the unit moved one tile away, then fortified and started ranged attacks.

-I think the right side in the city interface needs to be less transparent. Maybe it's because of the Mazatl background, but it's hard to see the specialists. Might be especially confusing for newer players, because they can't recognize quickly what's visual and what effects gameplay.


Is there a Mazatl guide out there?
I'm not sure how to work with this whole jungle-improvements, spring and clear swamp thingy, since the improvements apparently disappear, when I use spring?!
 
I just installed 7.20, started a game as the Balseraphs, and I'm getting these solid pink backgrounds to the economy, science, and civic screens. Some kind of problem with the civ specific GUI module?

Disabling the civ specific interface seems to fix most screens, although the default background graphics are screwy on a few of the advisor screens, except for the science advisor; that one is still a pink screen. balseraph_back.dds is in the proper folder on my install, so I'm not sure what the problem is.

hotfix is linked in first post that fixes these issues and doesn't break saves. automate ranged combat still doesn't have a unique button, but atleast it is more obvious now than the old skull which I used for testing and forgot to change. it needs to be balseraphs_back.dds, I had noticed that before but forgot to include the change in the main download.

I doubt there is a Mazatl guide yet. I plan to move the spring from their workers to an independent spell with it's own help text so it is more obvious. It creates a Swamp Improvement and thus removes all other improvements. Swamp Improvements give food and increase the chance of adjacent plots to turn into marsh/deep jungle/swamps.
