Revolutions?

In the last turns of my Civ V playthrough as Venice(Along with 21 other civs), something interesting appeared in the sidebar "The people of Spain have revolted and forced it's leader to adopt the freedom ideology". A few turns later a more interesting thing appeared "The Spanish city of (Forgot the name) has revolted and joined the Celts". Thoughts?

It once said The french people have revolted and forced their leaders to take Freedom. Ohh History...

Also its when ur tourism is strong enough to influence their public opinon. Also making ur ideology the world ideology helps.
