Playing Again a Decade Later:

I recently bought a copy of Civ2 MGE and started playing again after about a decade. I was afraid that it wouldn't be as good as I remembered, but I think it's even better. This is easily my favourite Civ game. I love how the strategy changes as the game progresses. I started off at Chieftain, but moved to King because of the lack of challenge, but starting at King, I've had very competitive games. I'm working on Deity now and I think it's a huge step up in competition.

It's funny how fast it all came back to me after all these years.

Just started mt first game of civ2 in over a year. I blinked and before I knew it, it was 2am and 40,000 of my colonists landed on Alpha Centuri...in 2018. Granted, it was Deity but man, I'm getting rusty!
