87. I didn't imagine so many people older than 20-25 play computer games seriously and even hadjoined to forum connected with it. I'm happy civ is not played by teens. Mayby now I'll try to convince my father to play it in order to understand me how I can play for so long. :)

Hooray for 1988

1942, less than 2 months after Pearl Harbor. I just turned 63 yesterday. :D

A turn-based game like this is perfect for an older person whose physical reflexes may have slowed down, but not their mind. Um, what was the question??? :p

1948
I bought my first computer, which I still have, in 1987, a compaq portable (lunch box style) running windows 2.0, 40 MB HD and an 386-20 MgH processor. It cost $5,000 (1987 dollars).

I started playing Civ when it first came out.

'91 and lovin' it!

Im 16, but I play like such a BEAST. Cats be thinkin Im an old head cos I be makin duper calculated moves.
Holla

Thirties here --- only two us us so far. Built my first computer in 1981
Been away for awhile, originally signed on as Moulton.

1975...Years just fly by. Started playing games in christmas 1983, when I got Canon V20 MSX and Vacuumania-game...feels like yesterday, certain sign that I'm getting old.

1972 vintage - the original CIV came just when I was a freshman and living in a university dormatory. (not good!) I think my first videogame exposure was my uncle's "pong" game. You know, the one with the paddles and the bouncing ball that connected to the TV. Around 1980, I played "Dambusters" on the Commodore PET in our library, shortly after that I got a VIC20, then in 1984 a Commodore 64. Its all history since then. People my age were probably the first kids to grow-up in the videogame generation.

If I could vote a second time, I'd add my older daughter (2001). She is crazy about watching me play CIV3.

The Sixties for me. Time does fly really fast, doesn't it? Must play less Civ and spend more time on the real world while I still can.

The 80s, barely - I was born in 1989.
