Israel, Philistines and Biblical Civilizations

Not at all... Hmn...

How many Yeshivas do you have in total? I'm assuming that the Building control for making specialists works additively and on all cities, as in all my testings I usually had one yeshiva at most...

There's a way of fixing this I think, while keeping the benefit... Sadly it will be something like, allowing rabbis to yield science, but in all cities...

Right now, each Rabbi is making +14 science/turn and I have 6 Yeshivas. That was my first thought when I saw how much science I was getting from them.

Ok... will update it once I get the time then...

BTW, which one do you think is a better leader for this civ, David or Solomon?

I'd think whichever leader that has more historical evidence for their existence, but they both have very little nonreligious sources. But from the thread in the BNW subfourm it seems like Solomon gets more love than David.

I'm fine with either.

I haven't used this mod, but I stumbled across it and I'm really into it!

I understand this is your mod and you ultimately have creative control over it, but I just thought I'd share how I would have made this differently.

1. I would have done the Kingdom of Judah (i.e. southern israel). There exists more historical evidence surrounding the Kingdom of Judah, and the Kingdom of Judah is historically significant. Then again, "Israel" allows use of aspects from modern Israel, so whatever.

2. I would not use David or Solomon, since they seem more like prophets to me. I would have gone with King Josiah, who collected Hebrew Scripture and compiled them during the Deuteronomic Reform, which had massive influence on all Abrahamic religions.

3. I would have tried to include some aspect of the modern political entity as well. Although I oppose several of modern Israel's policies, the kibbutz system and especially their development of drip irrigation is both unique and influential enough to be a good UI/UA/UB/UWhatever

4. I would not choose Jerusalem as the capital. Although Jerusalem has been a significant city in the history of Israel, Jerusalem has been controlled and developed by so many more cultures and political entities other than "Israel"; Jerusalem is so much more than the capital of "Israel". ("Israel" in quotations because more than one possible referent.) I'm also against Mecca being the capital of "Arabia" (i.e. Abbasid Caliphate) for similar reasons. If I had to choose a capital, I'd probably choose Hebron, although admittedly the choice is difficult.

Any chance of a BNW update soon?

Well, I want to deal with Argentina first... after that I'll make a couple of things for other's projects and yeah I'll update Israel for BNW... There may be 2 different versions btw, as Irkalla wants to include Israel into ProjectCiv with some little changes. ;)

Good afternoon. Not help doing these mods? Rather tutorial? 3D models, and such images. Where to start? I really want to do two civilization .. on the BNW (Ukraine, Belarus) .;)

I'd hate to see your stuff completely absorbed into ProjectCiv. I really like the abilities you come up with and your ideas in terms of modding and civs.

Don't worry, it won't be "completely" absorbed, I'll definitively keep my mad rabbis version hehe

Where, about that, there's plenty of tutorials here. I'd also start with Kael's Modders guide, which although outdated (it was done before Gods & Kings), is still very useful to start with.

How much will you order two or one mods? Leaders, and the country's history. I will recommend. Just look like you do ... 'd like two of their native country. (Belarus, Ukraine):(

If you're looking for a Ukraine civ, you might want to check out Tomatekh's Kievan Rus' mod:

Not exactly the same as modern Ukraine but it does give some representation. It's only for Gods and Kings at the moment, but he says he plans to update it for Brave New World soon.

Aww thank you, this is a good mod. But still would like to create their own fashion (ie modern Ukraine, leader CHORNOVIL) Belarus with flag since Jan BPR and present among the leaders. We have a rich history, which for this time (Belarus accurate) does not reveal. In Belarus, so in general, the president truly took the flag.:(
