Message from SANCTA. Someone should probably take over checking the Saturn email account, since I can't do it regularly anymore.

Namaste Saturn,

We bring tidings of good news! We apologise for not sending this
infomation earlier, but we only just got round to looking at it; we've
been a little busy building pitfalls for Kaz.

If you station one unit on each of the tiles 444447, and 777774444 of
Dione (your western most city that we went past with our chariot
Gelderlander) you will be immune from barb attacks from the west. The
western area is also completely safe from land based attacks by
anyone; the mountain range goes from the coast all the way until south
of Dione (and from there we don't know). The unit furtherest west is
also on the coast and a decent scout watching for MS galleys.

That land is also good for cities, it has a decent amount of food,
nothing great though, but we have great news on the tech front. CS is
due in 2 turns; we are considering when to revolt, but we don't have a
set date yet. A problem arises because if we don't revolt at the same
time, then one team saving gold and the other researching is going to
be out of sync, so we were considering asking you if you wanted to
tech drama next? You could save gold for 1 turn and then research it
at a decent speed, with us sending a little gold if need be while we
research Machinery. Once Saturn has finished we could go back to you
funding us, or whatever suits both our needs.

Drama will be useful so we can both get a GT city set up, as we'll
both need one for drafting purposes once we get Nationalism, and it
also cheapens Philosophy; SANCTA doubts that either of us will be
lightbulbing that tech, so the better research modifiers are much
needed to try and overhaul Cav in the race to Lib (which we are still
looking at...)

Some on our team also wanted to send you an update on the war, noting
that as fun as it is for us to watch Kaleb gripe about the RNG in the
public forum, it might not be so entertaing for yourselves. Over the
past 3 turns SANCTA has managed to kill 5 maces, 1 War Elephant, 2
Horse Archers, 1 Chariot, a Catapult, and a Trireme for the loss of 1
Longbow, 1 Axe, 1 Archer and 1 Chariot, an exchange of 640 hammers for
140. Kaz used some rather naive tactics in the war and split their
stack, so got hammered prety hard (praise be to the RNG!)

A large advantage of this is that Cav were sending gold to Kaz to
upgrade units, so with the dead Kaz units and us teching fast we are
catching up on them in the tech race.

If we're at 100% research, we have 149 beakers. Losing 24 GPT. We have 7 gold in the bank now. We get Drama in 3 turns. I doubt this can be improved by Dione's population increase next turn.

(To do this, I moved Rhea from a mine to the incense ... I mean, we've already got a longbow out there so another one isn't too necessary and I would really like to start on a library soon. I hope this is OK for next turn if I switch from Longbow - Library.)
 
Switch by all means. However we need to finalize Longbow before hammers start to decay (under 10 turns since I whipped Axe). We also need more military to expand safely. We really have bare minimum now to defend against barbs.

I checked and currently this is not possible. We probably can optimize this to happen in 2 turns, if we really but everything on getting it on time after we get Bureacracy.

We coud also consider converting to Caste system so that we could run some Scientist and put Academy up in Rhea? The problem is naturally that we don't have good place to run Scientist. Maybe Dione could be used?
 
Discussion with Krill. It seems that it would be alright if we switch to Caste and produce Geat Scientist in Titan and bulb Philosophy. Actually I miscalculated and we can run 4 Scientist with 0 loss of food.
