Cultural Levels

I know that in Civ Rev there are the four cultural levels:

• Sophisticated (Highest)
• Civilized
• Uncivilized
• Disgusting (Lowest)

But does anyone know if there are any benefits to having certain levels? Also, at what ratio of culture per population does a civilization must have to become a higher culture?

the higher your cultural level, the wider the range of your city is. So if you want to exploit more, you'll have to extend your frontiers with a higher level. I don't know the ratio though.

Not only that, your cities can be flipped more easily as your culture level drops.
