Game crashes after clicking "next turn" and save wont load

Please, I really need any help. I'm so frustrated I cant think. I apologize, this may be a little incoherent. I been searching 2 days for fixes on google, i thought i'd finally make a post

I have the digital deluxe version of Civ5 that i bought oin sale for 17$ (loved Civ3). When I reach a certain turn my game crashes to the desktop, some saves wont load at all and will crash. I received a notification of C++ runtime error and I tried every fix for that problem I could google and nothing has worked (steam offline, verifying cache, Deleting Cache (which I think might have actually bricked a game that was previously working at 599 turns),

I am running CSD, Unofficial patch, and R.E.D mods...i've tried reinstalling them, rearranging them, etc to see if that fixes the problem, nope.

My first few game I ever played was lost, unable to load the saved game, my second game managed to be free of error and I was able to play a full game (played some extra turns too), another game crash....another game crash... tried playing in DX9/10/11 none of them worked.

I have a similar problem where my game crashed, and now saves won't load at all. I also have the unoffical patch and red mods as well. I have no idea what's wrong.

this game is unplayable IMO I dont want to try playing yet another new game worryiung whether or not all of my work will never be saved, or at some point the game will crash and never let me play again

EDIT: started a new game, just to try it out....crash in the 240's again. *sigh*

Try uninstalling the game and reinstalling without the mods or unofficial patch. If the game works after that, then the problem is the patch or the mods.

Hey... was able to fix this, I think, by deleting my Civ V folder in the my games section, and copying the save from the older folder into the new folder after starting the game.

It finally let me load the game... though for some reason I have 3 french submarines glitched into 3 of my land locked cities and I'm not even in that era of technology yet nor am I playing France.

This also deletes all of your settings but those can be changed to normal after starting up Civ V.

This sounds like a problem with the mods that you are using. I had exactly the same problem (random "civilian" helicopters and carriers in the land cities), the reason was XML problem in one of my own mods.

I have the same issue since yesterday. This is frustrating. I had to start a new game several times and saved it every five to seven rounds to ensuren I was able to load on of them. Before yesterday I was able to load any savegame with or without mods , but today I neither can load games with mods nor without.

- OS : Windows 7 Professional (x64)
- NVidia Graphics 470 GTX (Driver from August 2011)
- Microsoft Visual C++ 2011 (x64) installed
- reinstalled the game
- deleted all contents like saves and cache

The only mod I have installed is Thal's balances (v105) , but savegames wont load neither with this mod nor without it.
