"the application has requested the runtime to end it in an unusual way"

keep getting this everytime i try and load a save. modded or otherwise. was fine til i upgraded to windows 10. i can start a new game, play it for a while but then if i save it to come back to later, this happens.

i have all DLC,reinstalled steam and civ 5, deleted my mods, tried it without them, redownloaded them, reinstalled direct x,reinstalled visual c++,tried compatibility modes and running as admin, steam offline mode, ran windows update, checked windows fire wall and antivirus, verified cache, installed windows 7 and civ 5 on a new drive (then booted up 7,same damn error!) and rolled back to older drivers

also tried a fix involving deleting the contents of the 8930 folder (to do with steam cloud)

PC specs:

Windows 10 Pro

16gb RAM

gpu: AMD RADEON HD 7850 2gb

cpu: AMD FX 8320 Eight core processor,3500mhz

wth is going on?

Verifying your files is all that you should need to do.

When I upgraded to Win10, first Steam needed to run in 'enhanced mode' to fix itself, then I had to verify files for CivV, BE and Xcom before they could work properly.

Oh Mighty HerpDerpell66,
Can you lead a civilization enslaved under the oppression of the Barbarian camps Steamroll and M$ into a new enlightened age?

Seriously, I 'm having similar issues since the last batch of Windows updates. I sit on recommended updates for a few months to see what comes up with others experience with them. When I allowed a few recommended in the last month, I began having similar issues.
