SDK does NOT build for me.

So, I have a copy of the games SDK, and I have Microsoft Visual Studio. I am opening it with the 2005 version and I am asked to convert the project. I will accept, and to see if the vanilla state SDK works, I try to build it, and I get exactly 13 errors. Why does it come with these errors? Does this happen to anyone else? Also, do I need the 2003 version to make it build without errors? I'll like to see what anyone can tell me, and I'll be waiting here. Thank you in advance.

I use VS2003 and get zero errors.

I know a few people use 2005, but they had to customise their project settings.
