This is my newest unit, the USN's Knox class frigate. I had some problems with the flicster bug on this one, but was able to repair it, I won't get into the details.

A couple screenshots of a couple Knox class and friends (and Cold War foes) in my TCW naval sandbox.

Vingrjoe, I think a lot of these ships are your creation.
BTW, the Moskva is a thing of beauty. I think it looks best from the stern, but that is for another thread.

The Knox is also very sweet, but it seems a little darker than the other US ships in comparison. But I am nit-picking.

Thanks for the compliments guys, I'm glad my work is enjoyed.

I_batman, you are correct sir. The Knox did turn out darker than some of my other USN ships. I've been testing out different shades of gray for the warships lately. I wish I would have gotten it a little lighter than what it is.

I am quite pleased with the Moskva myself.

So what is next out of the Minnesota shipyards?
In my screenshots I think I see a few candidates.

A fine looking ship Vingrjoe, this brings back memories. I served on a Knox class in the late 80's, FF 1086 USS Brewton.

Am I correct in assuming that after the ASROC launches the second puff of smoke is from the 5" 54 firing? Keep up the great work.

JestersDead, yes you are correct. That is the 5/54 firing after the ASROC fires.

I hope I got the look of the ship correctly per your recollection, and thank you for your service to this country.

BTW I_batman, it looks like you'll have to add in my Korean War Era Iowa Battleship. That's a WWII Era Iowa hanging around more modern ships in your screenshots.

Thanks Vingrjoe.
I am trying to get some parity/accuracy with various concepts floated in the TCW thread last month, and the sandbox is circa 1970. First Knox I think was comissioned in April 1969.
I should have caught the modernized Iowa slip.

thanks.

An excellent ocean escort. Well done on the ever growing and ever victorious fleet.

Added a link to a lighter version Vuldacon made using my
Knox. This has a little more contrast and shows a little more detail.

Thanks Vuldacon.

I knew the minister of naval affairs would be pleased. :D
