I prefer epic, just because of the sheer scope of the mod. My recommendation would be to play with different game speeds until you find the one that gives you the most enjoyment

actually, you can still get the archive files for the mod, from the first post. tested and working on windows 10. (had to run as admin for the mod to load up proper from the game menu)
