Yeah, I won a cultural victory. Ended up with the Joan d'Arc the Meek. Two wars against Persia. One in 1650 and another in 1870. The second one finished him off. I went from Monarchy to Communism in 1886. I loved the way Xerses looked in the final screen.

Mao's rubber dried up for about 20 turns after I blockaded his source. Then I took his oil through a cultural defection. Probably could have sold it to him for a ton of gold per turn, but I didn't want him upgrading everything.

The MPPs didn't matter. I had Alexander locked in a trade for dyes at 60 gold per turn, and he ended up cutting research to make payments, as did Montezuma. Montezuma was locked in another obscene deal and had to decommission much of his army. I almost asked Mao for a loan thinking about one of the Rules of Acquisition. Gandhi, that little warmonger had one of the worst start areas on the map -- Tundra. When he got out, he couldn't keep his cities.

I'll tell you this. Maintaining a ton of happiness improvements gets very expensive. Also research was set at 90% and that only allowed me to accumulate about 100 gold per turn. I'm playing on a few turns more and will probably invade China for fun. I want to use some of these weapons.

But a shaved head on Joan. Why a shaved head? Why not leave a little hair?
