As the title says. I installed Civ with Steam on my Windows 7, playing the game is fine, saving the game is fine, browsing my saves through the save menu is fine. Asking for a load menu by any means causes the application to close "in an unexpected way". I need to Ctrl-Alt-Del to see this error window hiding behind the frozen game window.
Windows event logging records this as a generic application error, google didn't turn up anything other than the hordes of players who couldn't get it to work back in 2010. Compatibility mode changes nothing. DX 9/11 are the same.
Civ BNW latest version, -all- DLC (though I don't use the Scrambled packs).
At least some of the time I'd like to split up my 8-10 hour experiences into two or more sessions. And play hotseat on it. Please assist. I'm guessing a log file would be helpful I don't know which one to upload.
