City state turn endless processing / hang

Complete edition, no mods. Save attached. Click end turn. Say "You will pay for this" to Dido. When city state turn comes, the globe keeps spinning, and nothing happens. Game is responsive otherwise, just that their turn never ends. Waited 15 minutes. Normally it takes 10 seconds.

Any ideas? Where else can I post this?

I have just encountered the exact same problem. Nothing is out of the ordinary to suggest something going wrong; I tried several fixes:
-Reload last autosave
-Reboot Civ and reload last autosave
-Reload a slightly older autosave

None of these worked; this is the only post anywhere I could find about said problem.

7 hours or so later, nothing has changed. It looks as if I'm going to have to abort the game. Oh well.

EDIT: Actually,manually saving the game and loading that save seems to have fixed it; not sure how or why. If that doesn't work for yo, not sure what to say.
