If holy warriors is your game (and it definitely is mine, btw), I prefer Honor better, so as to get 20% more mileage out of each unit. Honor gives you +50% xp and great general points. Getting logistics promotion is like having two units.
Also honor is "front loaded", so to speak. The best stuff is in the first 4 SP (and then the last two give you some happiness and gold--which also time well). Piety's whopper SP are the last 2. Reformation = #5, and the last gives you +25% gold, a prophet, and some kick-butt holy sites tiles.
