I don't believe that Prophets are technically "purchased" prior to the Industrial age because they are randomly produced once your Faith exceeds a certain threshold.
Well, they're purchased automatically (costing all your faith). I figure this is one worth testing. Thought someone might have beaten me to it.

Sadly, that's now how it works.
Prior to Industrial Era, Great Prophets do have a chance of spawning until the faith threshold is met (134 on Quick), once you reach that threshold your chances increase, until you spawn, the moment it spawn your pool of Faith is completely empited to 0.

Like the pre-BNW Piety finisher the faith cost reduction does not apply to Great People.

Which makes the SP 100% useless to anyone that didn't get Holy Warriors or mosque/cathedral/pagoda. Okay it also reduces Missionary and GP buy costs, but who the hell buys them in masses?
