Orions Mod Collection


This is centralized collection of mods that I have either created or modified. The list will be growing for quite some time. The mods will be available in both WoC and standard BTS 3.19 formats for your convenience. Update: There will be no further updates to WOC formated mods. Testing has proven conclusively that WOC formated mods will degrade game performance.

I have updated the Police Unit

Update: 27 Jan 2010

1. Mod is now updated for BTS ver 3.19
2. Mod now includes both Standard and WoC formats
3. Reduces chance for city revolt with 5 RIOT CONTROL Promotions.
4. Removed the Minuteman Unit (It will be in it's own separate mod)
5. Removed Ice Breaker Unit (It will be in it's own separate mod)
 
Introducing a separate Mod Comp for the Bazaar. For your convenience, the Bazaar is now available in both WoC and Standard BTS formats.

1. +2 gold for the city in which it is built.
2. +25% Trade Route increase
3. +5% increase for the commerce bonus value of Fur, Gems, Gold, Silver, Silk, Wine, Dye, Deer, Spices and Clams.
4. Prerequisite Tech: Alphabet
5: Cost 80 Hammers

Isn't the Great Library already in the game? I do like the building model though.

Also, I don't see a reason why the strategic grain reserve should give culture.

But a couple of these will find their way into my mod. :goodjob:

It's the same building as the academy. Which is a problem that can be rectified by reverting back to the old academy from Vanilla instead. But the Great Library is already in the game, so there's that problem too. Plus it seems kind of overpowered?

But I really like the other structures, especially the National Archives.
 
The Walls of Troy (World Wonder) has just been released. The Walls of Troy has excellent graphics and makes a great addition to list of Wonders that provide a Free building.

My next release may take some more time, but promises to have a huge impact on Naval warfare. :)

i think i know what it is... :mischief:

Yup! It's not much of a secret anymore, so I will go ahead and anounce what I'm doing at all hours of the night. My new development will be called the Mine Warfare mod! So far, I have 3 units: The naval mine, The naval mine layer and the naval mine sweeper. Mines are invisible to all units. They are also lethal, and they will explode taking out one unsuspecting ship in a stack on a plot. It doesn't matter if it's a battleship or a transport, you will loose a ship. The Mine layer can carry 3 mines and drop them off where desired. Once they are dropped off, there they will remain until they either explode or they are purposefully disbanded. The Mine Sweeper is the only ship with the unique ability to land on a square, with a naval mine and not get blown up. Instead a siren goes off and a button appears to allow the player to remove the naval mine. All which I have just described works at this time.

Land mines are next and I plan on making spies vulnerable to land mines just like any other unit. If anyone has a good graphic for the land mine, please let me know.

Hi OrionVeteran

Inspired by your National Slave Auction I created a building called Slave Auction. In this I used your python code to make it only buildable when I have the Slavery civic.

This however seems not to work - as long as I have Bronze Working I can build the building.

Can you conform that it works for you?
