How do i stop email notifications of replies?

On the 'Edit Options' page you need to select 'No Email Notification' in the Default Thread Subscription Mode section. Then scroll to the bottom of the page and select 'Save Options'.
Note, this does not change any existing thread subscriptions. It only modified new subscriptions. I believe to change existing subscriptions you have to go to your My Account (User CP) and click 'View All Subscribed Threads'. Then click the top right checkbox that auto checks the box for every thread on that page. Then scroll down to the bottom of the page where you see Selected Threads with 'Move to Folder' in the drop down box. Change the drop down box to 'No Email Notification'. This will modify all the checked threads to turn off email notification.
