Best way to retire a Belief ???

Hello all !!!

I'd want to make a belief (let say "God-King") out of the game, without risking to break it (the game, I mean)...

I thought about making the "pantheon" (or founder, or whatever...) flag a 0/false... it appears to be working, but is it safe ???
