Mmkay, so the battering ram is killer, it's a spear replacement that works like a trebuchet 50 turns before you get trebuchets, and the Jaguar is too early of a UU to be too much use. (The Battering Ram works magic if you rush early but not too early ;)) Also fixed the Keshik error.

I will go ahead and upvote the Horse Archer - that thing is just too powerful in regards to its age, durability, promotions, movement, etc. - In multiplayer it is MUCH better than the Battering Ram. By a mile. Its better in singleplayer too - but with the ability to swarm and catch opposing armies in chokeholds - you won't have a problem cutting anything in your way

D.V. to the Maori Warrior. -10% to opposing units? How exactly does it help that unit survive into later ages? Is it even worth building many/any Maori warriors in truth? Not really beyond 1-2 to try and explore and get on the Lancer upgrade line

goodbye zero! Pointless UU replacement for a pointless unit.

Ship of the Line is a beast for conquest. Nothing compares on the open sea.

Keshlik is even better now. Its :c5moves: is increased in G&K so it becomes an unstoppable killing machine.

Zero sucks. I am glad that I am the one who eliminated them. :p Comes too late & a very useless bonus it has. AI airforce rarely becomes a threat & u can mostly deal with it using anti-air guns & mobile SAMs.

Minutemen rock! With G&K, you can now upgrade all your previous melee units to Minutemen which makes them rock even more. Ignoring terrain movement penalties is a huge bonus which is highly underrated by many people IMHO. It is especially powerful once units get a bit of experience and have the ability to get +1 movement and/or blitz to attack more than once each turn. In the Modern/Atomic Era, Mechanized Infantry upgraded from Minutemen are nearly unstoppable!

The Turtle Ship is a senseless unit. You tech all the way to Astronomy so that you can explore the ocean, but as Korea, you can't explore the ocean with Astronomy because their UU replacement for the Caravel is restricted to coastal tiles. One of the few UU in the game where the regular unit is better than the UU replacement.

About the Maori: warrior-based units are a tough proposition as it is, since early war is not very useful, but at least the others have decent bonuses. The Maori's bonus just sucks. It's not actually useful early on, so the only way to benefit from it is to gimp your development by building lots of warriors early, then not use them for a while and eventually upgrade them. Just... no.

The Atlatlist shows the Maori how it's done; it's the earliest and easiest to build ranged unit in the game, allowing you to easily defend yourself in the early stages, without needing to research Archery.

It is like saying that Keshliks suck because they can't capture cities like knights.

Come on! Turtle ships have a whooping 16:c5strength: advantage over caravels. They even destroy frigates if u blitz them quickly. They can also take down huge coastal cities of their time due to their insane strength.

You can explore the oceans as well as anyone else - Astronomy also unlocks embarked movement across oceans. You just can't send a navy across the ocean. As I noted, compared with such analogues as the Battering Ram, the Turtle Ship has a trivial disadvantage.

Besides which, there really are very few maps with major expanses of land that are only accessible across the ocean - it can often take somewhat longer along coasts, but if you want to use the Turtle Ship as an explorer rather than for conquest, it's usually possible to do so.

Naruesan's Elephant: I'm slightly sad to upvote this one, just because there's not really much interesting you can say to justify it. Highest strength medieval land unit in the game - that's all there is to it. The equal of a pikeman with the vs. cavalry bonus, making this a credible front-line unit. Yes, I miss having a unit fast enough to move, attack, then move away, but they turn into Cavalry eventually.

Panzer: There is a huge difference between 3 movement and 4, particularly in the early game. The difference between 5 and 6 is much more trivial, since the unit is already fast enough for flank attacks. To top it off, I very, very rarely use tanks. I usually go the Rocketry or Globalization path; by the time I tech to tanks, they're obsolete anyway, and as they come at a game stage where I will often have fast units with blitz, not to mention Paratroopers, cavalry-equivalents are much less relevant in the very late game stages than earlier. My favoured tech paths also make me irritated that the Panzer shows up so often as a CS UU, since I'll pretty much never get the benefit.

Chu-Ko-Nu - love these guys. Last game I had around eight composite bows that I could upgrade. Attacking cities was a brezee, I essentially had 16 crossbowman.

Maori - Only one word to describe it, useless. The benefit is really trivial for such an early UU
