PerfNES I: Ultima Ratio Regum

Just as a warning, I have a lot of work to do this week, so it may take me some time to respond to question PMs.

I did not receive orders from LittleBoots, bombshoo, Karalysia or ParkCungHee. If you're still interested, please say so; otherwise, I'll NPC Italy, Provence, the Tokhta Horde and Hubaekje.

Nice, quick, very well done update. Except... my war orders haven't been followed. I raid NORTH of my operations, and keep my main garrisoning away from the raiding.
That's what happened, but your orders were predicated on the belief that the Lithuanians wouldn't do anything to try and stop you. When they showed up in force, the plan kind of fell apart.

Also, what happened to a year spent especially for the levies to get some marching experience?
a) You didn't say it was to drill them; b) there's no drill yet, so it would have been wasted anyway.

And finally, in what why did I call for a majority tartar levy?
"As for the Levies, more than normal (if possible) will be Tartars". It was possible.
Great update! Only one question: When raising soldiers, do they become available for battle immediately?
Not immediately, but fairly quickly.
Also, going by my rather large treasury and surplus dead soldiers don't draw pay from the turn and neither do levies, but do newly recruited soldiers do so?
Yep
Apparently I have 1 prestige now. It's very nice but I don't know where it came from. :p Also, I banked a load of money but it hasn't turned up in my treasury. Also, Edith should now be married in my stats.
Apologies, fixed.
In regards to this, deadline continues to be Friday?
Yes.
Wicked update. Story and diplo incoming. In the mean time, did anything come from my gunpowder program?
Some, but with so many people trying to recruit specialists the money didn't go as far you'd hoped.

Except for Bill, we're in no rush. You delivered, take some time.

OOC: Announcing ownership of Friland. Will post the family tree when I have dinner.

Ruler: Prince Mathias Østergård I (48, married)/NPC
Heirs: Eli (27, married), Magdalone (24, married), Lykke (22, married), Hans (18, married)

(Yes, Eli is a female Danish name, before you ask.)

Ok, sorry then for realizing that my plan for fighting put into account that no fighting would occur. And I appologize for realize there are no drills for marching and formations of the most basic type, as well as getting familiar for the weapon. I am ashamed to forget to put limits at the end of my open-ended statement of "More than normal if possible" to be translated as much as possible. This is entirely my fault for assuming you understood. I guess my orders were a little dense. Please PM me back if that happens again and you don't really understand what I was talking about.

Apparently the look of things, my neighbors would rather conquer me. Time to show em who's boss.

Don't blame the mod for your gross incompetence.

Thanks for the answers Perfection. Unfortunately my last question was kind of three in one... Newly recruited soldiers do take pay if they survive the turn? Kind of important this one :D for those of us mobilizing massively.

And... its fun playing as Duke's Lithuania... but I SOOOOOOOOOO wanted Italy (so very much diplo and domestic policies to be done!!! So much Christianity to exploit reform!), I had tons of plans for them, can I change, please, if Littleboots doesn't show up?
... I hope an NPC dukey-boy knows how to do a backflip...

Anyway, I'd only ask something like this for what was my number 1 choice, if anyone thinks I'm bailing.

"Indeed it does... hey you!" Cried Anton as he ran over to another troop, "Its NOT a good idea to poke your spears at each other! Stop I say!"
Lol, I don't know man. It might weed out the stupid or give your battlefield physicians some training. ^^ Like this story too!

You're in the middle of a war, Tote - at least, wait until it's over.

The Sultan Mehmet II of Zabid announces a pact of friendship, peace and prosperity with the Emperor of Ethiopia, Asnaf Sagad.

The Sultan agrees to pay 50,000 taris immediately, with a further 25,000 taris forthcoming within 5 years time, and the Emperor Asnaf Sagad agrees to turn over the standing Ethiopian naval forces to The Sultanate of Zabid.

May eternal peace and infinite prosperity forever reign among our peoples.

Signed Sultan Mehmet II of Zabid

That will probably take a month to grind Prince's down unless I dissolve or am decisively defeated first, but we'll see what Perfectionist says if Littleboots isn't staying in/shows up.
Thanks Thlayli.

A proclamation by Asnaf Sagad, King of Kings

Rejoice, o Daughters of Ethiopia. Rise up in dance, o Sons of Sheba. For my soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace. But our ever merciful God has heard our cry, he maketh peace in our borders, and filleth us with the finest of the wheat. For on this day, by proclamation of the King of Kings, there is hereby peace between the lands of Ethiopia and the lands of Zabid. Now let all who love peace place this proclamation and the proclamation of our brother, the Sultan of Zabid, in every marketplace, and church, and all those places where men gather, so that all who read might rejoice with one heart and mind. Amen.

Get me in a war and then bail? Nicely played. Hm. In a few ways this is too fast-paced for me, and I was looking to be more of a peaceful player. I like cultural victories in EU3, for example. :) But all of my cultural efforts which I spent half my revenue on did not create any results. By the way, it wasn't abnormal for courts to commission printmakers. I'll keep at it one or two more turns and see how it goes, though!

Nice update, by the way.

;P actually I got you mobilized so you didn't get caught with your pants down. And also hurried the 50k payment and shifted it to a gift now that you can't help simply to be a good ally ;) but yeah, it's looking like an exciting region. And I think you can take him.
Anyways don't worry, even if we weren't in mostly different wars now Perfectionist's NPCs are near sterling.

Lucky for you Yaroslavl came to my aid. :D Anyway, no worries at all if you do switch - I was merely jesting.

Oh I know ;) (that list came off way too defensive except for the emoticons). I'm sorry to leave the region though...
By the background description and their behavior I'd have thought it would be Moscow, but I guess Yaroslav has more on the line being all up into Veliky.
Anyway, did you mean that LMoose/Veliky attacked you over Prince's? I don't think he knew (and you only joined a couple of days ahead of deadline).
Lol, not the first time a coalition member I've got on gets simultaneously sidetracked by an invasion and saved by their mobilization...
