AI behavior

I was wondering how much does AI behavior change in LoR compared to vanilla? Does the AI really just play to win? I ask these questions because I was playing on prince and saw the Incas make a direct beeline to liberalism which shocked me. Now I haven't played this game or the vanilla game a lot so that could be normal I guess I wouldn't really know. Anyway thanks for any info.

AFAIK LoR has the Better AI mod included, which makes the AI somewhat smarter than on Vanilla, although I have no idea about the details. Maybe there´s something in one of the Readmes.
