Interface sluggish

About every turn I experience problems with the interface.
I'm stuck on the active unit, even after I've set this unit to fortify, or used the space bar to do nothing with the unit.
Sometimes saving the game makes the problem go away.
Sometimes rolling n e s or w with the window helps.
Sometimes the game just continue to hang with this active unit.

Is this a confirmed bug?

Please excuse me that I haven't looked very far in the confirmed bug category, but there are 6 pages of threads there and it would take quite some time to look through all of it.

EDIT: I'm using the current patch version.

I'm in the late game stage right now in the game I'm playing, but this problem exists in - I think - all stages of the game.
