Archaeological Site in Pax

i dont have the picture to hand, but when the XCOM squads are going against the Assyrian GDR, if you look to the right of the XCOM squads there appears to be an Archaeological site.

Just wanted to point it out, dont think its been mentioned.

It came from Kotaku, but I don't know where they got it from.

It also mentions that you can research the XCOM Project. I honestly hope that's not a tech...
 
I think they just planted it there ... the top bar on the screenshots are totally different: gold per turn, cultural output, tourism output, turn #, etc. Maybe the XCOM unit walked from one hill over to the next hill, crossing the plains and then uncovered the archaeological site. Perhaps one of your units must enter the tile before the site is discovered??
