Here's what I did:
Byzantium vs. Russia, Immortal difficulty Starting points for both civs and 4 city-states Civs start with 1 settler and 1 worker; city-states start with city Byzantium starts with techs: agriculture, animal husbandry, archery, the wheel, mathematics, currency Russia starts with techs: agriculture, animal husbandry, mining, bronze working, iron working No resources are on any tiles nor in any amount than is normally not found in the game (all sea resources on coast incl. oil) There are a few citadels in unclaimed territory To launch game, I go through mods > load scenario. The game begins to load the map, and that's where it ends. The narrator screen keeps speaking all the way through, the game won't "freeze" per se, the mouse icon stays animated and I still have control over my computer (enough to open task manager and force close, anyway). I get no error prompt or message of any kind, just an unresponsive game. Have tried disabling techs, removing citadels, removing city-states, removing resources, along with other logical controls to attempt to make the map work with no results. I've included a copy of the map below. If someone would like to attempt to load it or peruse through what I've done and let me know what mistakes I've made if any, I would greatly appreciate it! https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B9c...m5oQ3dYelJfdkE (and if you can get the map to run and enjoy turtling against hordes of enemies, you might have some fun, too!) |
