Problem installing (rather, uninstalling civ 4 colonization). In short I want to install it, but I can't.
I thought I deleted colonization years back, but when I tried installing it via civilization 4 complete disk this pops up:
"String IDS_UNINSTALL_GAME_RUNNING was not found in string table" pops up after I click on the "Setup" application on the disk.
I am assuming that it was never properly deleted. The same problem was reported here http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=313968 but it has not resolved for me. I have all of the other civ 4 games still running though.
Is there a way to manually delete colonization and then use "Setup" to install it? It still appears in my list of programs even though every folder, registry, etc has been deleted.
EDIT: I had to uninstall civ 4 complete (bts, warlords, and vanilla) and then reinstall them. Then it installed. It works now. But now I'm having issues with the bts patch
