Sorry, this will be a long post. Hope you enjoy reading and give me suggestions :)

So, here I am on my 2nd BNW semi-multiplayer. The first one I played as Portugal and the management of Feitorias almost drove me mad. Lost to the other human player (Poland) who got a CV. Since it was my first game, I played as warlord and man, that was boring. Now I'm playing as prince (I know, I need to level up, but that's the difficulty I'm used to), as Brazil in a huge continents map, marathon speed, all VC enabled.

Started in the jungle, which I guess it's default for Brazil, got the ToA and the HG in my capital, so it is growing pretty big. 2nd city on the coast, plenty of jungle too, so be it. By this time I was able to adopt a pantheon, so I got the one that gives culture from jungle. Settled my 3rd city too close to Madrid (and a bit far from my capital), just to keep Isabella from getting the Rock of Gibraltar. Also a few jungle tiles, coast (even though it is a huge lake, not the same ocean as my 2nd city) and the 4th between this city and my capital and this 3rd city, also on the same coast. Bismarck DoW'd me, I defended myself and got peace. Thing is Cologne is too close to my borders (well, all his cities are), but had a population of 11 and a sh*tload of jungle. By that time, I was already able to build the awesome Brazilwood Camps (2 food, 2 gold, 2 science, 2 culture + 1 from the pantheon). So when the peace treaty expired, I DoW'd him, killed a bunch of units and got Cologne through peace negotiation, so no population loss.

Even though I'm leading in science and I met all the players before anyone else, I lost the leadership of the World Congress to Morocco (the other HP) by one turn of Printing Press research (I decided to get Accoustics first, don't remember exactly why, but it was a good reason). Despite of that, I delayed Oxford for a few turns to get Industrialization for free. Got coal, built / bought factories and chose the first ideology: Freedom. I knew my opponent would go for Order, he always does, but I guess I can survive as long as I don't let him get more influential on me that I am on him. He is 10 TP ahead of me at the moment, but my culture bar is much bigger and due to SP and wonders, my golden ages last 40 turns, so I can make up for the tourism disadvantage with them.

One of my current problems is religion... The pressure from the German cities in the north is big and Isabella is making my life hard by sending missionaries to my city close to her borders. I have an inquisitor in my capital, that I can't remove since she also has a city at the south of my capital and I can't risk losing the religion in my Holy City. I really don't care about spreading my religion to other CiVs, just to a few city states, since I got Papal Primacy, but only when my own cities are safely converted. Morocco proposed his religion as World Religion in the 2nd WC session, but I still don't know if this is a real threat, anyone?

The other problem is production. If I set all my cities to production focus, I get the 2nd place in manufactured goods, pretty close to the 1st, but I have 3 internal trade routes (caravans) just sending production from my capital to the other cities. I'm thinking about changing one caravan for one cargo ship to work on the "lake". The other 2 TR are maritime and international, departing from the city with the West India Company, so at least this is right. But I'll save the "production focus" for World Fair times, so I keep on spawning GP. Is there another decent way to improve my production in general if not improvements, windmills and factories (these I have already)?

Least but not last, happiness. Too much population, too many specialists :) AIs guarded and not willing to trade. Morocco allied to almost every CS in the planet. Golden Ages are vital for me due the Carnival, but they will get harder and harder if I don't do something fast. I still can build a few happiness buildings, but with the growth I'm having, they won't add too much happiness. I can still get some through SPs, just hope that is enough, if anyone else has an idea, PLMK :)

In SPs terms, I have Tradition and Liberty finished, 3 Freedom tenants (2 level 1, 1 level 2), Aesthetics half way through and Rationalism opened. Making 400 something CPT, hard to say exactly how much since I saved the game yesterday in a Golden Age, which was giving me 550 CPT. I think this will be a science game for me, so I guess going further into Rationalism won't hurt, WWYD?

Anyway, thank you for reading the huge post (if you got to here) and please give me suggestions if you have any!

Pick treaty organization and ally every city state you can. Use your delegates to buy off votes to make your religion and ideology the world religion/ideology. Should lead to an easy diplo win. If you finish aesthetics, a cultural victory may not be out of reach either as Brazil. Those woodcamps will produce significant amounts of tourism in the late game. Faith buy Great Musicians after you get hotels and airports while in a golden age and go on concert tours. Otherwise, beeline to satellites and make sure you get Hubble if you're going for a science win.

Thank you, I will try to "steal" some alliances from Morocco (which will be hard, he has much more money and patronage), but things may eventually change :)
