No, not the poster, you sillies.

Since there is a banner at the top of the screen flashing that, it got me thinking: those things are supposed to be a scam, right? So how is it that they can advertise something like that, and have it be legal? I know there's got to be some sort of law against flatout lying to people in business, so why is it that these sort of things are allowed to exist?

Because they actually get gullable idiots to buy crap without ever realising some pointless dream that entrapped them in the first place. Essentially it's not illegal to claim you may have won something, only that you have.

I've never bought from advertising, but some people will believe anything. Thank all that is precious that the internet allows you to find what is good and what is BS, by your own means not banner adds, you can turn these babies off if you wish. Just need to set up your explorer right.

Have you tried clicking on it to see what it takes to win?

I dare not.

So, you're gonna tell me how to do that, right?

Mind you, Moose bites can be quite nasty...

Believe it or not, some people do buy into those things. My friend's grandmother thinks she has thousands of dollars invested overseas or something, but he (my friend) says it's that she bought onto various internet scams.

OK, wanna give us some? :crazyeye:

I get the same ads on here as well. Urine taking to say the least.

These actually do give you what they say, it just takes you and so many friends to do so many things (such as download and try Napstar for 30 days). The more expensive the item the more friends you have to sucker into it..

I don't see how these adverts can be successful, because nearly everybody in the whole world knows they are cowboys.

Right. Obviously, they *are* sucessful, because they're still around. If they didn't work, they wouldn't waste their time.

For every click on it they have to pay a two cents to google, and google pays CFC for having the add.

I generaly ignore such ads.

Well, research has proven that even spam works.
