Out of curiosity, have you ever looked into Paradox Interactive's games? Crusader Kings, Europa Univeralis, etc. For those who like doing more historical things, it's very nice.
I haven't tried them out yet, but they sound very fun! =D
Gonna wait until they go on sale, though; been on the losing side of Steam flash sales for too long. =P
I have felt that Civilization has slowly evolved to slow down (if not eliminate) ICS (Infinite City Sprawl) players. I do not want to see a return to Massive City Grids from Human Opponents in say, MP.
Now ICS is expansion, true... ! I've tried it a couple times in MP, but I never felt it was giving so much of an advantage... here again, it's about opinions, because unless you playtest 2 games with the same settings and look at the result, you can't really determine if this strategy is more viable than the traditionnal one. And yet : the traditionnal approach is better theorically, because you have bigger cities that can build anything faster, including units and buildings of course, but also wonders. The only advantage of ICS theorically is that is uses the tiles that are not yet used by a given city. Again, hard to say which is the best.
Almost sameee difference lol
Well chess is a strategy game, I would like to think
Everytime im in war it feels like chess, like yesterday I defeated 8 horse archers sent by the huns with 4 jaguars and an archer lol strategically placed my units in the correct locations!
