Anthony Weiner Goes Ballistic At GOP

I was hopelessly ignorant when I was a teenager, but I didn't need to post about it, sharing my obvious lack of enlightenment with everyone else.

McCarthyism was one of the worst things to happen to America, if you want my opinion.

(Frmonkey's responding to me about Domination, Cull.)

Sorry, I am a slow typer.:D

No, he's just towing the party line: FDR was a commie, wars cure economic problems and Reagan was a god...

Conservatives have been spouting this for 30 years and there is no proof. They just want to cut taxes to give the well off more money.

And they should cut taxes for the well off as well as the middle class.

Think about this.

Who is going to get more votes, the Dems that say they want to help the little guy or the GOP who admit they are about fairness.

The rich already pay more than their fair share. And you already admitted to being a socialist so I obviously know you'll disagree.

EDIT: @Arakhor- I'm not ignorant though, I happen to know what I believe.

The GOP admit they are about fairness? Can I nominate that as the thread-winning statement?

Domination, ever heard the wonderful Middle school aphorism about fairness "Fairness is not everybody getting the same thing. Fairness is everybody getting what they need."

Pray tell, how? They advocate tax cuts to the rich who benefit far more from our country than the middle class does. It won't really matter if I end up working for an American or foreign corporation as long as they pay my salary. If the rich weren't high up in American companies, they would be middle class, just like me.

Torqemada and Hitler knew what they believed. Doesn't make it right.
I have to ask, why do you insist on advocating for policies that are a nighmarish version of Marx's Dictatorship of the Bourgeoise? Its a well known fact desperate people take desperate measures. Why not throw the proletariat a bone to stave off the Proletarian Revolution?

OK first off if everyone's taxes are cut like you want, where is the government going to get the funding to fight those wars you like so much? Are the rich going to donate the funds, cause the middle class (or what is left of it) can't afford it.

The GOP has never been about fairness. All they care about is getting into office and giving even more money to the rich. At least the Dems are trying, no thanks to the Repubs the spoiled children of politics... having a fit and calling names when thy don't get their way.

I IDEALLY would like to see dictatorship overthrown everywhere. However, in practice, we can't afford it, therefore we should only fight those nations that are threatening American lives. Afghanistan fit, and many people (Myself included) believe Iraq did as well.

However, ideally, all the government would do is defend the borders and ensure there is free travel and credit between the states. Everything else can be left to the state government and/or the individual citizen.

The rich either earned their money or inherited it from someone who did.

But China fits. But the EU fits. Why aren't we attacking them?

So, IDEALLY, you would like to force all the world to your definition of correctness... How fascist of you.

The rich either earned their money or inherited it from someone who did.

Your cool with Companies sending American manufacturing jobs to communist countries so the CEO's can fire workers and take home multi-million dollar bonuses is "earned"? Your more messed in the head than I thought!

This statement is 100% correct and always holds true. No one does not get the money they deserve. Every money collected by people is fair.

Like the Gottis, they worked hard, right? Or Darko Milicic getting 20 million over 4 years? Joel Anthony getting 18 million? Albert Haynesworth - 100 million+ dollars? The executives at Enron? Etc, etc.

And Michelle Obama and her 75K per day Spanish vacation!

And Michelle Obama and her 75K per day Spanish vacation!

At a bare minimum, for the flights alone, Bush’s 77 vacation trips to Crawford cost us $226,072 per trip. That’s $17,407,544 so he could ride his bicycle in the woods and clear brush for the cameras.

Perspective is important. While it probably wasn’t Obama’s best political decision to go to New York, pinning the $75,000 pricetag on him is petty and absurd. Most of that price is not what it costs to go to New York to see a musical but what it costs to protect the security of the United States by protecting its commander in chief.

Perspective, Merkin. At least Obama is in the White houses doing something not hiding...

And Michelle Obama and her 75K per day Spanish vacation!

Which is paid with her own money, which according to Domination, she definitely earned (that's a judgement call for everyone else to make). The public taxpayers pay for her protection/transportation to Spain, just like they would if she went to Virginia Beach or out for a jog.

But I do like the effort to pull this gem out of nowhere to try and take a dig at the Obama family.

The rich earned their money, yes, but how did they get that money? Lets take finance for example.
>The executive uses his computer. Did he make that computer? Nope.
>Did the computer maker extract the materials to make the computer? Nope.
>Did the workers extract the materials needed for the computer? Yes.
The executive can only earn money because of the actions of the workers. (We can repeat this with any number of things. Food, especialy.) The workers are needed to make the executive dreams come true. The executive cannot have achieved riches without the actions of the workers. The rich need the workers more than the workers need the rich. If the executive could not have gotten rich without the workers, why should they not equaly benefit from his profits?

Or you can watch this clip from Metropolis:

I must admit I really respect and admire all those billionaires who got that way entirely on their own through hard honest work. The ones who never exploited or took advantage of others in any way. The ones who never used the government and political power to help them to get rich. They got that way entirely on their own by fairly competing with others and by providing everybody who ever worked for them a fair and equitable wage based on their actual productivity and value to the company. They weren't hypocritical in the least and treated everybody like fellow Christians, instead of being ruthless businessmen who think virtually any tactic is proper merely because it is "business" where anything can be rationalized.

There has to be at least one. Right?

Conrad Hilton? I watched a CNBC show on him recently and he didn't seem that bad. Some Robber Barons recounted later in their lives with alot of philanthropy, but they were also obsessed with social darwinism and didn't do much to help the workers with their wages.
IDK.
