Unable to load texture

I don't know if this is the correct thread for this but I'm having some issues.

Ok, the game seems to be running fine (isn't slow or glitchy) however, everytime I click or attempt to do somthing I get this annoying error message that reads: "unable to load texture [CivSymbolWhite32_DLC_01.dds]"

I'm not all that computer litterate just yet, but I'm guessing DLC stands for Download Content? Because I did install the Nebakanezer expansion along with the core game.

I downloaded the game and the expansion via Steam btw. Anyways maybe this had somthing to do with it, i dont know, but it's really frustrating and Steam costumer support blows.

Have you tried to verify the file integrity via steam? It seems that just something got corrupted in the download.

No i havn't, how would I go about doing that?

In Steam go -> Library -> games -> Civ5 -> properties -> check integrity of the game files (or something like that).

Ok looks like its working, thanks a bunch, bro!

For me the issue was with Genghis Khan. Whenever I start a new game and get Ghenghis (or an AI get him(I play random leader)) the game gave this error. File integrity wasn't the solution,but rather this:

Steam library -> Civ5 -> properties -> Downloadable material (sort of) there was an empty box for the Genghis pack. So he simply wasn't installed =)
