Hi,
I'm interested in two kinds of units and I'm looking for interested people who can create them.
A. Postmodern people using older style weapons like spears, pikes, katanas and replica style swords one might find. Police tonfas, clubs with spikes, heck a frying pan would be great. A person might be decked out with a football helmet, shoulder pads, or riot police gear and have the above. Nunchaku or throwing stars would be awesome as well as a Molotov cocktail. A modern day compound bow and a crossbow units would be ideal. Too bad I don't know how to use Poser. A slingshot with an arrow attachment (it's called a sling bow) would be awesome. I'd imagine slingers would come back in style too.
B. I'd like to have the same kinds of diverse weaponry you see in the Civ 3 units, but with postmodern dress without the fancy uniforms. As a post-apocalyptic mod, then it's doubtful that they'd have a "uniform" with matching embelishment and cap or helmet. They'd have whatever they could find, but would develop the technology to fabricate the weapons...if lucky to find resources.
Think of the immense difficulties in creating protective gear or forging weapons post-collapse. It would happen in time, but you'd be more likely to see a good old shotgun, .45, .22 rifle, an atl-atl, a baseball bat, etc....at least at first.
The mod is unofficially called WROL Plague Edition.
The two major ways people moved along the river back in pioneer times were flatboats and keelboats. If anyone is interested in making those or knows of one already created, then I need those especially. I'm looking for a simple motor boat and sail boat too. Due to fuel restrictions, it's doubtful they would have access to much more than this.

The units database is awesome. I've had so much pure delight looking at the various units, but most won't work without costume modification.
What's the proper way to use existing units from the database? As long as the original creator is thanked in the forum link for the mod, is that sufficient, or do you have to have the actual permission from the creator of the unit? As the game is so old and many people no longer visit the forum, then getting permission for each unit seems daunting. As some particular modders have made so many, then this is somewhat simplified, but some units might be in complete modpacks like RAR or Warfare. If the actual unit creator isn't known but I link to the completed modpack, is that sufficient or not?
